چکیده
Demand has increased for analytical solutions to determine the velocities and dispersion coefficients that describe solute transport with spatial, temporal, or spatiotemporal variations encountered in field. However, few have considered spatially, temporally, spatiotemporally dependent velocities. The proposed consider eight cases of velocities: both spatially dependent, temporally coefficient velocity, constant constant, velocity. spatial dependence is linear, while temporal may be exponential, asymptotical, sinusoidal. An advection–dispersion equation these variable was reduced a non-homogeneous diffusion using pertinent coordinate transform method. Then, were obtained an infinite medium Green’s function. validated against existing numerical when unavailable. In this study, we showed could applied various patterns velocity coefficient, shedding light on feasibility solution under highly transient flow heterogeneous porous medium.

متن کاملExact analytical solutions for contaminant transport in rivers 1. The equilibrium advection-dispersion equation
Analytical solutions of the advection-dispersion equation and related models are indispensable for predicting or analyzing contaminant transport processes in streams and rivers, as well as in other surface water bodies. Many useful analytical solutions originated in disciplines other than surface-water hydrology, are scattered across the literature, and not always well known. In this two-part s...

متن کاملTwo-dimensional advection-dispersion equation with depth- dependent variable source concentration
The present work solves two-dimensional Advection-Dispersion Equation (ADE) in a semi-infinite domain. A variable source concentration is regarded as the monotonic decreasing function at the source boundary (x=0). Depth-dependent variables are considered to incorporate real life situations in this modeling study, with zero flux condition assumed to occur at the exit boundary of the domain, i.e....
